As a bestselling cookbook author, former Williams-Sonoma culinary director, and consultant to America’s favorite food brands—Traeger Grills, Breville, and Le Creuset—I’ve kinda become a 21st century Jane-of-all-culinary-trades (no offense, Jack). My life has been a wild ride and I want to share it with you.
From videos and live events–seriously, some of the most fun I’ve ever had was cooking Thanksgiving for the cast of Hamilton, and also searing scallops for a crowd of five thousand with Gordon Ramsay– I’ve taught and empowered hundreds of thousands of people to cook at home.
My culinary chops are matched only by my belief that “hell-yes-YOU-can-totally-do-this, too.” A mom of two, I’ve mastered easy cooking for families, but also cooking for one now that my kids are flying the coop! Cooking should be joyful and the main obstacles to doing it–time, money, and skill–can be easily remedied with simple tricks I’ve learned along the way.
I’m so freaking excited–seriously, can’t sleep kind of excited– to welcome you into my kitchen through House of Haas!
What the heck are ya waiting for?!
Knock out these three obstacles so you can kick ass in the kitchen:

Every season I’ll announce a new theme that will guide our classes. Here’s a sneak peek at our first class theme:
THEME: COOK THE BOOK (MAY-OCT)
Write my new cookbook (spoiler alert: healthy basics) with me!
You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look of how a bestselling cookbook is created.
Master the basics even if you are a seasoned cook (ha!). Thirty years later, I’m still amazed by the simple tricks I pick up daily. As we create the recipes for my new book, you’ll learn to make them better for you naturally, without hard-to-find or expensive substitutes.
And (my favorite part!!) when my book is published, you’ll have a claim to fame– my first 100 founding members will be named in the book credits!
This is how the sausage is REALLY made, people!
You’ll learn how to:
- Follow a recipe correctly (trust me, this is important!).
- Stock a pantry, refrigerator and freezer.
- Identify which tools you really need (hint: not many!).
- Master “better for you” versions of your favorite recipes.
- Successfully substitute ingredients.

We’ll email you instructions the week of May 2nd to share all the details of the upcoming classes for the current month. Moving forward, on the first of each month, you’ll receive the recipes, shopping list, and dates for the live classes!
Each class is about 1.5-2 hours. You can cook along live; watch and ask questions via chat; or catch the replay later and cook at your own pace!
On the first of every month, we’ll announce the dates and times of each class that month.
We’ll also include recipes, shopping lists, and tips for prepping so you’re ready to go when class begins. If you can’t join us live, you can submit questions in advance and review via replay!
We’re so glad you asked! Because Amanda has personally had to cook with all kinds of dietary restrictions for her health, she makes sure to include plenty of vegetarian and vegan options throughout the courses. We’ll provide a great variety of recipes so even those with dietary restrictions/preferences can easily participate! We’ll also make suggestions for GF, DF, V substitutions.
The only preference that is pretty difficult to accommodate with such a broad scope of coursework is veganism, but we welcome your questions on how to try and adapt any recipe to make it work for you!
Heck yes! We love your friends! And if they take a class with you at your home and love it, we hope you’ll refer them to the program.
The Membership is $24.99 a month.
We are so sure you’re going to love House of Haas, but if you choose to spend your time elsewhere, you can cancel hassle-free, anytime. We’ll be happy to have had you for as long as we did!
Please note: we do not issue any refunds.
