Pickled Onions

This is one of my most requested recipes.  Once you’ve tried them, you’ll want to put them on everything!  I’ll let you decide if you tell people just how easy they are to make!

  • 1 medium red onion, halved and thinly sliced into half-moons
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced (optional)


  • Place all of the ingredients in a medium bowl.  Toss to coat.  Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours and use for up to 3 days.
